PPI Classifications
Closed System PPIs
Usable only within the issuer's ecosystem. No cash withdrawal. Minimal KYC.

Semi-Closed System PPIs
Usable at listed merchant locations. No cash withdrawal. Tiered KYC.
Examples: Digital wallets (Paytm, PhonePe), gift cards, campus cards.
Open System PPIs
Full payment capability including cash withdrawal at ATMs. Full KYC mandatory.
